TRUTH OR LYE?

I've been exploring the internet for long hair success stories lately and I found an amazing picture diary of a girl who went from bald to flowing natural hair down her back (I mean really long) in three years!!!...I'm a bit skeptical because in the pictures the lengths vary so much, but I want to give her the benefit of the doubt because 1) if her hair products work I will be the first to recommend them 2) she'a a Christian. I'm going to chek out her product soon and tell you how they work. In the meantime you can find her on YouTube and on her website: www.healthyhairjourney.com. But one caveat, her hair is permed....:-o! It was so pretty though, it might make you want to be lyed on.

My journey was similar: I cut my hair (as short as a fade) on New Years Day 2006; Today,(two 1/2 years later) my hair is the exact length of your hair on the "Sweat and Press Don't Mix" photo. In fact, I recently got a press on June 7, 2008 - no more wigs!! So, yes, it is possible!!!!!

Although you are sadly correct: the sweat and press does NOT mix :(

P.S. I wore wigs during the 2 year process. Sidenote: After the first 8 months, there was enough growth for hair to be corn-rolled underneath the wigs.

P.P.S. No daily or 'special' products were used. However, I used cream of nature products for a periodic shampoo & conditioner.

P.P.P.S. Your son is adorable! I want him! :)

Thanks for your comment Rhonda! I'd love to see pics of your journey...

I've found braids to be the best option for "The Press Club" on hot days!

Thanks for complimenting my son - he is such a joy!

Hi, I'm familiar with the website and the products. I use a few of her items. As far as the hair length - if hair grows 1/2 inch each month than in three years it could be approx. 18 inches. I think one of her videos states that she is transitioning to natural hair. I like the products not for the promise of long hair but just because her products have less chemicals, are as effective as any commercial products claim, and to support a sistaprenuer. Her products are moisturizing and they smell great too.

Love it! Thanks lady. We need more tutorials like these around on the internet.
